Students awarded at South Campus presentation

Alexandra Fothergill receives Jim Miller Award

Dubbo College South Campus principal Suzie Foran presents Alexandra Fothergill with the Jim Miller Award for Achiever of the Year.

Academic, cultural, sporting and leadership awards were presented last night at the annual Dubbo College South Campus presentation.

Year 10 student Alexandra Fothergill received the Jim Miller Award for Achiever of the Year, while Year 10 colleagues Maeve Sparrow and Paycee Cubby received the Rotary Club of Dubbo South Award for Citizenship and Leadership.

South Campus 2018 captains Lucy Roberts and Darcy Wood, who led the presentation, both received prestigious Rawdon Middleton Scholarships, donated by the Bindyi Club.

Year 9 student Harrison Kater was awarded for excellence in debating, Holly Faulds for visual arts and Jesse Spang picked up the Mastellotto Family Award for soccer.

The James Kennedy Memorial Trophy for male sportsperson of the year went to William Cuthill, with female sportsperson of the year awarded to Ella Murray.

Other students to pick up prestige awards were Holly Darlington, James Finch, Banjo Tucker, Matilda Irvine, Koda Sissian, Alexandra Morley, Liam Deaves, Holly Keizer, Courtney Russell, Alexander Kalinin, Emma Geale and Kelsie Scott-Aitken.

Aboriginal Education Consultative Group awards were presented to Chase Cubby, Graycen Shipp, Jaren Barker and Courtney Russell.

Aurora Awards went to Ruby Callaghan, Julia Delos Reyes, Rory Stein, Liam Boon, Amber Ashan and Darcey Wood.

Special guest speaker at the South Campus presentation was former South High School student and local businessman Andrew Bassett

South Campus principal Suzie Foran also thanked former principal Ross Gorrie and former librarian Catherine Brown for their service to Dubbo College.
