Head teacher VET/Careers
Mrs Caroline Watts is the Head Teacher of Vocational Education and Training and Careers. She assists students explore their education and career options. Additionally, she oversees the delivery of on-site and externally delivered VET courses.
HT Transition and Community and Industry Engagement
In this role, Mrs Vicki Kenyon is responsible for fostering partnerships between Dubbo College Senior Campus and industry and business representatives to promote the active engagement of targeted students (through school-based traineeships). She also works to create personalised career programs and provide support for the transition of students into the workplace.
Year 10 Parent Teacher Information Night
Careers and Head Teachers of all faculties provide information to all Year 10 parents on subject choices, subject content and the requirements of the HSC.
Careers Information Day
This event is attended by representatives from local business, universities, private providers, ADF, Policing and UAC. Students are able to gain insight into prospective careers or courses of interest.
HSC SEMINARS
HSC Seminars are hosted at Senior Campus for regional students to hear from HSC Specialist teachers and markers across most subject areas.
University Admissions Centre (UAC)
UAC representatives run Parent information sessions and provide information on scaling, early entry and general UAC processes.
UAC also offers webinars throughout the year. Some of these are course specific (i.e. Nursing or Teaching) while others relate to early entry and Year 10 subject selection.
