Circus West is an in-school youth circus program based at the Delroy Campus of Dubbo College.
It has a 25-year history of providing support to the youth of Dubbo and district, of Western NSW and the broader circus community. Circus West was started in 1991 by its current director Paul Woodhead at Dubbo West Public School.
It was designed as, and is still essentially, an in-school welfare program dedicated to assisting young people through the trials of school life and preparing them for life in general. Circus West supports after-school skills and performance programs for youth in Years 5-12, in-school lunch-time and sports programs, and a two-year Board of Studies approved elective course for students in Years 9 and 10.
