Expressions of interest are invited from persons interested in a career opportunity as Canteen Supervisor, being responsible to the Dubbo College Senior Campus P&C Association for the day-to day operation of the college canteen, including supervision and rostering of staff and/or voluntary workers.
The position is to be located at the Dubbo College Senior Campus, Tony McGrane Place, Dubbo NSW 2830, with a starting date to be negotiated.
To be successful in the role you will need to have good planning and prioritising skills, as well as good communication skills to work effectively with others. You will perform a range of tasks relating to the operation of the canteen including:
- ordering and receiving supplies.
- preparation of the food/products listed on the canteen menu.
- oversee correct cleaning of food preparation equipment and canteen area.
- ensuring compliance with food handling regulations.
- reconciliation of daily takings to submit for banking.
- preparation of accounts to submit for payment.
- regular review and management of canteen menu.
- stocktakes each term.
- staff recruitment and management.
Remuneration
Casual (up to 6.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday), with stand down during school holiday periods. Remuneration in accordance with Level 3 (in charge 2+ persons) of the Fast Food Industry Award 2010.
Essential Criteria
• Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance (or willingness to obtain prior to commencing).Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to commencing).
• Demonstrated capacity to:
- work independently and meet deadlines.
- work effectively as part of a team.
- plan and organise.
- handle financial accounts.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
Desirable Criteria
• Experience and proven background in hospitality / catering / commercial kitchen environment.
